As the sole owner and operator of The Fur Babysitter, I do my best to accommodate everyone. All clients are on a first come, first serve basis for all services. For pet sitting, please allow for a 1-2 hour window around your preferred time frame. This allows for last minute bookings, cancellations, traffic, weather, and possible emergencies. Pets with critical health conditions, such as needing insulin, will be prioritized.
Drop In Visits:
Payment must be collected within 24 hours of the last scheduled visit. Clients may choose to pay upfront if they wish. If paying with cash, please leave the money for me prior to the start of service. If I have to come collect cash payment after completion of service, there will be a $10 fee for time and travel.
Boarding:
For boarding, a non-refundable deposit of $50 will be collected at the time of reservation. The remaining balance for boarding services is due at start of the service. For example, when boarding your dog with me, I will expect full payment to be made when you drop your dog off.
Grooming:
Payment is due at pick up.
I understand that life happens, plans change and sometimes it is out of our control, however, please consider that last minute cancellations prohibit me from being able to accommodate other pets in need of pet sitting and grooming services.
CANCELLATIONS FOR PET SITTING - DROP IN VISITS:
Random or One Time Drop In Visits - I will waive the cancellation fee the first two (2) times. After that, cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a $20 fee.
Drop In Visits Scheduled for 2 Days or Longer - cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a $50 fee.
Please be advised if you cancel after I have already arrived at your residence for the visit, you will be charged the full rate for that visit plus the cancellation fee.
CANCELLATIONS FOR PET BOARDING:
Reservations cancelled within 48 hours are subject to a $60 fee. Since I only take in one family of pets at a time, there are no refunds for any pet boarding reservations cancelled after the pet has already been dropped off. This includes if you come home early for any reason.
CANCELLATIONS FOR GROOMING:
Due to the limited availability and high demand for grooming appointments, cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a fee of $25. Clients that do not show up or call to cancel their appointment will be charged a fee of 50% of the booked service. After two (2) no call/no shows, The Fur Babysitter reserves the right to refuse service for future grooming appointments.
Please consider that I have to take time away from my own family in order to accommodate my pet sitting clients during the holidays.
DROP IN VISIT HOLIDAY RATES:
Drop In Visits will incur a $15 Holiday Fee per visit.
Holidays include: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Columbus Day, Passover, Good Friday, Easter, Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Labor Day Weekend, President's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July (including the weekend if it falls on a Monday or Friday), Martin Luther King Day, Mother’s Day & Father’s Day.
BOARDING & HOLDAY RATES:
Boarding services will incur a $20 Holiday Fee per night.
Holiday Rates apply on the following dates: Thanksgiving (including week before/after), Christmas Eve & Christmas Day (including week before/after), New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day (including week before/after), Easter (including week before/after), Hanukkah (all 8 days), Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur
Columbus Day (Friday through Monday), Halloween, Memorial Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), Labor Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), 4th of July (including the weekend if it falls on a Friday through Monday), Columbus Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), President's Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), Martin Luther King Day (Friday through Monday), Mother's Day and Father's Day.
Client may provide me with garage codes or key pad code, however you must also provide a key to access the home in case of a power outage. Clients may leave the key for the sitter in a hiding spot or lock box and sitter can leave key in same spot upon completion of services. Should you wish to have your key picked up and/or dropped off there will be an additional fee of $10. I can also keep the key in a secured location until future services are requested.
AS OF FEBRUARY 8, 2022, ALL GROOMING SERVICES ARE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO A WORK RELATED INJURY.
